Skill Competition
In recent years, Nanyang Institute strives to promote the specialty construction, the curriculum reform and the talent training
mode reform on the basis of "high quality, strong skills." In 2014-2015, our students received for more than 400 times awards and
honors in vocational skill contests, vocational education innovation contests, and contests of English, mathematics and humanities
at national, provincial or municipal levels. They have won 8 first prizes, 12 second prizes, 24 third prizes at national second class
contests; 52 awards at provincial first class contests, and more than 80 awards at provincial second class contests.
School-Enterprise Cooperation
Taking teaching-research-production cooperative education as the breakthrough point and adopting the "point-line-surface" school-enterprise cooperation model, Nanyang Institute has established cooperative relations with more than 200 well-known enterprises in
marine, construction, trade, mechanical and electrical industries or associations in Jiaxing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Ningbo and Zhoushan,
organzing order form classes and co-founding off-campus practice bases, such as Hangzhou UNIT Elevator Company, Zhejiang Keboda
Company, etc. The Institute more than once visited Shanghai RichTech, Jiahao Design, China International Marine Containers, Shanghai
Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Zhengyuan Electric Co., Ltd, Hankook Tire, Zhejiang YAT Electrical Appliance Co., Ltd,
Mars China, and so on. In January 2012, Nanyang Institute became a member and the vice-director unit of JiaxingXinhe Vocational
Education Group, undertaking the leadership work of Marine Engineering Professional Industry-academic Cooperation Committee to which the group belongs.
International Academic Exchange
Nanyang Institute attaches great importance to international communication, exchanging students and sharing international education
resources since it signed an agreement with many colleges from 2011 on. At the same time, it actively explores and expands
international exchanges and cooperation in various forms: degree education (3+1 Top-up program, 2+2 double diploma program, 3+1
upgrade from junior college student to master-degree candidate program), non-degree education (student exchange program, teacher
overseas training, student overseas paid internships and double certificate program of professional education, etc.).
